If water is actively running, yes — shut off the main valve, usually at the meter near the street or where the line enters the house. Call us and we’ll walk you through finding it while we’re en route.
Depends on age and what failed. Under eight years old with a bad element, thermocouple, or valve is usually worth repairing. Past ten years, or leaking from the tank itself, and replacement is the better spend. We’ll tell you honestly which one you’re looking at.
